Our website is doing what we wanted it to
do, help our citizens make better financial decisions that have to deal
with either buying or selling real estate. And, we have been
educating our citizens to understand another role that FEMA plays in our
lives both before and after a flood.
Coming
soon: A Blog that is based upon hearing your horror stories
(Louisiana only) that dealt with real estate closings that either killed
the closings or caused other problems that kept it from running smoothly.
We plan to email them to our elected officials, the insurance reform
committees and the Complaint Dept. It is our goal to affect
basic common sense issues and a need for accountablity & the
authority to take action against the wrong doers. WE are building a
referral base of email addresses so when we ask you to email an elected
official, we can count on you to voice your concerns.
Coming
soon: A link that will allow anyone anywhere in the US
to find the flood zone and the flood premiums for the property regardless
if it is residential or non-residential. We want to be
your flood agency. We are called the Flood Guru Insurance agency for
good reasons.
We have learned a lot since Katrina and are
adding a lot more new questions and answers and we continue to learn from
FEMA and others, valuable information that needs to be known.
Understanding the rules and regulations that your Congress put into laws
that FEMA has to enforce can be extremely expensive to the ill
informed. However, FEMA has a saying that I detest! "Let
the Buyer Beware!" This needs to change to be Let the Buyers & Sellers
be Aware! To help you best navigate our site, the following are a brief description of what you will find: Real Estate and Title & Mortgage is being updated but it will concentrate on issues and flyers for their use Advocacy is a list of contact persons that you can contact, mostly state elected officials as well as out of state officials that could affect our industry.
